This weekend saw me taking a day off from my motorhome travels and opening my garden to the public along with seventeen other gardens in Felsted. The sun shone and and people came from far and wide.

The star turn in my garden seems to be the tortured robinia which was much commented on and also people seemed to like the way I have over the last five years turned it into a bee friendly environment with lots of plants that bees love – and they are much in evidence in the garden so I must be doing something right!

It was a great day – the village holds the event every three years and people – particularly gardeners – love wandering around looking at other people’s gardens.
