Following the success of the 2012 initiative, The Caravan Club has once again secured the temporary site at Shaftesbury in Wimborne St Giles, Dorset. With nearly 5000 outfit nights available during the 17 days of opening it will provide Club members with extra opportunities to enjoy this popular holiday destination. The temporary site on The Shaftesbury Estate will open from 23 August – 8 September and is available for booking from the first week in March.

The site offers a great location for those wishing to visit this popular area which is just 15 minutes away from some great attractions such as the Bournemouth Air Festival. With its ongoing commitment to provide its members with the best value offers, The Caravan Club has negotiated a 10% discount for families visiting the Great Dorset Steam Fair from 28 August – 1 September, and has been able to freeze pitch fees at the same level as last year. Therefore, this is the perfect place to enjoy a great value summer holiday.

The superb site, on the beautiful Shaftesbury Estate, will provide grass pitches nestled in the countryside, close to the Wiltshire and Hampshire borders. Home to the Earl of Shaftesbury, the Estate includes a commercial shoot, fly fishing on the River Allen, a trout farm, forestry and agriculture.

Len Short, Events Manager for The Caravan Club, says, “They say location, location, location and Dorset is always popular with so much to do in the surrounding area, and with prices remaining the same as they were in 2012, we hope members will consider it to be great value for money.”
Pitches cost just £20 per night (including electric hook up) with no additional per person fees.
The temporary site has no onsite facilities so all vans must have their own sanitation. Temporary waste disposal facilities are available.
