The Caravan Club’s Abbey Wood site within the M25 on the east side of London A206 direction Woolwich is well worth a visit. The big surprise is that it feels so rural; you may be within the M25 but you would hardly know it. And it is very, very secure.
And easy to get in to London – a French visitor next to me is off to the proms tonight – and that reminded of the site I use in Paris and how many of the big cities do have places to stay – you just need to be a bit determined to drive to them and then do the public transport bit. And it’s just the same for Abbey Wood.
However, I couldn’t help but notice that today with temperatures at about 28 degrees there was a marked lack of enthusiasm by many visitors to do much at all and the deck chairs and loungers were winning hands down.
