I stayed two nights at Putts Corner this week – just north of Sidmouth. Very pretty surroundings and a lot of history too – the Fosseway is nearby – and the historic fishing village of Beer is well worth a visit as is the famous garden centre in Ottery St Mary – now there’s a name to conjure with!
