I like getting off the main roads in France when I can and seeing a bit more of real France by using some of the secondary routes. Such an example is the very straight road between Vierzon and Orléans – the N20 – which takes you through the village of Nouan-le-Fuzelier which has a very convenient aire next to the park and very close to the village. A good spot for me as it overlooks the railway station with plenty of trains to occupy me. There were three UK registered motorhomes on the aire; mine and two others. The other two were migrating south to winter in Spain and I was in not quite such a good position heading home to face another gale and more rain and flooding.
