Saumur is a good spot to either visit or be based in for a visit to the Loire. I chose an excellent Kawan site in the village of Montsoreau just a few miles east of Saumur – and on arrival at the site had the nice surprise of seeing a pennant from The Caravan Club’s South Essex Centre which had obviously stayed there recently.
